Dear friend, I am Saint Euphemia, and I wish to discuss with you today the misconceptions around selflessness, for there are many and these energies are strongly embedded in humanity and therefore in you.

These energies served a purpose in the past to encourage us to work together; they were originally decided on in an attempt to meld us individuals into unity. This never worked the way that it was intended. It was misunderstood and misconstrued, resulting in the belief that there was value in putting ourselves last.

THIS WAS NEVER THE INTENDED OUTCOME!

I ask you to put down and release the self-less-ness and replace it with self-full-ness, as only when we have filled ourselves are we fully able to turn to another. Only when our needs are fully met do we hold the riches to freely and unconditionally assist others in meeting theirs. Would you send a starving man to deliver food to the needy? Would you ask a thirsty friend to carry your water? Be aware of the trap of giving before you have received.

You are told that the gift is in the giving, who then to receive? What an unbalanced world with all giving and no receiving! In every interaction I ask you to be aware of the energy flow, Feel the energy behind the action who is indebted to another and how is this used to subtly control another? If you should wish to be truly free, you must have freedom of choice, as within choice lies your freedom.I ask you to hold true to yourself and expect that others do the same.
